MakerSpace is an upcoming multi use community driven workshop located in the heart of Ashfield.

Opening in 2025 the space will be the first of its kind in the area and will boast state of the art equipment and workspaces. 

With heaps of specialities including; Woodwork, Textiles, 3D printing, Laser cutters, a podcast studio, electronics department, and so much more.

    Our Story

    Opening 2025, MakerSpace will be the first space of its kind in the area, a multi-use community driven communal workshop, at the heart of Ashfield. The Space will offer specialised workspaces for those lacking the space or funds at home. Get creative with wood and metal working tools, a textiles room complete with dressmaking facilities, knitting machines and an embroidery machine. A printmaking area and, a CADCAM workshop complete with 3D printers, laser cutters, a podcast studio and so many more exciting things to come.

    Some of our current equipment includes, a CNC router machine, 3D printers, a large laser cutter, 10 thread embroidery machine, long-arm quilting machine, overlockers and sewing machines, a large ceramics kiln, printmaking studio (including screen print), and a podcast studio. An electronics suite with coding labs, physical computing arenas and adult lego studios.

    Welcome to all Makers and Crafters around Ashfield and further afield, MakerSpace needs you!

    This is a community of makers, crafters and those interested to learn something new, based in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. We will have equipment to support making and crafting in Textiles, Metalworking, Woodworking, IT and Electronics, CNC, Podcast Studio and a large variety of Other crafts (which is growing all the time)

    If you’ve ever had an urge to make something or learn a new skill MakerSpace is the place for you, with a bit of everything from basics to advanced skills equipment theres a place for you here at MakerSpace!
